More cards

Today I visited my parents in Sweden. On my way to theirs apartment I came across a little store I has been passing a hundred of times but today it was open, so I went in and got a big surprise. It´s was actually a card and scrapbooking store. I found this awesome clear stamp alphabet and I just had to buy it.

Last Wednesday I was to a crop in my local scrapbook store DreamPapers and I decided to give my self a gift for making it all the way to the final in the contest over at Chalet. I gave my self this awesome new red tote and I love the fact that you can turn it around.

The last couple of days I been working on a top secret project. I can’t show it , but I can show you some cards I made. Take a look

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend.

Midsummer Day

Saturday we celebrated Midsummer Eve called Sant Hans in Denmark. It´s a old tradition where we go to the beach in the evening and look at the midsummer bonfire. All over Denmark there are bonfire on beach tonight. In the middle of the bonfire there has to bee a witch. The old tradition say that the witch fly to "Bloksbjerg" to get together.
Normally my parents come for dinner and bonfire in our garden, but this year they were on vacation, so it was only Anders, Signe and me. We had a nice dinner outside and afterwards we drove to Hornbæk to see the bonfire on the beach, and of course I had to take some pictures.

I just gave employer my resignation. I have know for a while that I was going to give my notice and it has been so hard not being able to talk about it. But last Monday I got my papers from my new job. I’m just so happy. So now Ijust have two more weeks at work ,then I have 3 weeks holiday and after that I start on my new job.
I didn’t win the contest over at Scrapbooks Chalet, but on the other side I didn’t expected to. I feel honoured to make it all the way to the finale. To end at a second place out of 53 participants that´s a victory in it self.
I just made another giftback and card to a friend.
Thanks for stopping by.

Altered wooden cigar box

I just finished my altered item to the finale in the "design like a star" over at Scrapbook Chalet. I just can´t belive that i ahve been in this contest for 11 weeks. It´s has been so funny, hard and inspering on the same time.
This week challeng was a altered item and first it freak me out, because I never realy don an altered item, but then I came up with an idea.

I made a photo frame out of an old wooden cigar box.
I painted the box with white acrylic paint, cut a frame out of chipboard. Then I decorated the frame with pieces of pattern paper, rihenstone, flowers and chipboards shapes.
I must say I´m really proud and satisfied with the result.
Now I just have to wait for the result of the voteing this Saturday.
Thanks for stopping by.

I did it

I never thought I would make it this fare in the contest over at Scrapbook Charlet and I don´t realy belive it yet, but I´m in the finale. It has been a great and inspiring experience. I´m so happy and honoured to make all the way.

This weeks challenge is going to be a hard one. The challenge is an altered item .To create something, anything unusual and I have never made a alter item.........but I got an idea, so now I just hope that i can create it.

I don´t this I have a change to win this, because my other competitor is Dawn aka Crafty Girl and she is so talented and my own big scrapbooking idol.

Yesterday I went to a 12 hours crop at my local scrapbook store DreamPapers and I had a blast as usual. I was so lucky to win a awesome clear stamp alphabet from Atumn Leavs in a challange where we should use 3 pieces of pattern papers , 3 pieces of plain papers and 3 photos that should have different size.

here is my wining layout: The beauty of nature
I have used the round sketch from pencillines and Becky Thackston´s idea to put the layout on a 12 x 12 cardstock

Actually I made two layouts for the challenge.
here is the other one

Did someone said buttons?

I was teaching a class in doodling monday evening at my local scrapbook store Dreampapaers.
After the class I had a little extra time before I should home and I just looked around and saw this buttons.
I love buttons and couldn´t decide which one to buy so I just had to have them all......yea I know I´m crazzy, but they are just so awesome.

By the way I´m through to round 10 in the contest over at Scrapbook Chalet.

This weeks challenge is a skecht challenge. The skecht we are going to use is from Pencillines and made by Martha Bonneau.

Here is what I came up with.

The photo is my lovely daughter back in 2002 and when I look at it, it just make me realize how much she has grown. My little girl is gone and now I have a 10 years old big girl who already act like a teenager....*LOL*

Thank for stopping by.

This waiting makes me crazzy

Yes I´m going through this again......waiting for the result of the voting over a Scrapbook Chalet and it´makes me so nervous. Is so funny and inspiring to participate this contest but I hate the waiting, it makes me crazzy.
Lets talk about something else.
I made these two double pages for submission to the new blue print book, but they didn’t pick them so now I will share them with you. Guess they didn’t like my style ;O)
Blue print # 28
Home work
Journaling:
It´s has cost blood, sweat and tears to be where we are today, where you just sit down and read your homework (almost) without any complains.I don’t think that you ever learn to read fast, but you read with 99% correctness and that is all that matters. I’m so proud that you have come so far in only 5 years and without any interest for reading.
Let´s get dirty
I used a quat by Jay Leno for the journaling
You can´t be mad
at somebody
who makes you laugh
it´s that simple.
Tomorrow I´m going to teach a class about doodling at my local scrapbook store DreamPapers, so I´m off to practise.
Have a great weekend.

I´m moving on

Yea I´m moving on to the next round of the "design like a star" contest over at Charlet. I really did think that this was the end for me. The others palyer are so talented and I´m just a girl from little Denmark where almost everybody dont know what scrapbooking is all about. many people I know don´t understand why and how I can use so many hours and money on this fantastisc hobby.
Well I´m so glad that I´m movong on because this weeks challenge is just so me....here is what Laura said about the challeng: This weeks challenge will be a hard, but fun one ~ Since everyone loves Doodling so much, I want to see a layout made with 2 photos (no less, no more) and nothing but doodling as your embellishments.. However, you are allowed to use as much paper as you want too..

I just had so much fun creatingthis layout for the challenge.....as you know I just love Doodling.

The journaling is on of my favourtite quats by Amy Bloom

I’m so nervous and curious to see if I’m through to week # 9. The others players are so talented and have made some awesome designs. I guess I just have to wait for the result.....thank for looking.

Challenge # 8

yea I´m through to challenge # 8 in the "Design like a star " over at Scrapbooks Chalet. I never thought that I would been between the last 8 players. They other players are so talented, so I´m not sure that I´m going through the week......but I guess I just have to wait and see.

This weeks challenges was so funny. Each player are teamed with someone else from the game. We are to choose each others layout and/or altered item from the gallery and scraplift it.

I ´m teamed with Elisa K and it was hard to choose one of her layout to scraplift because there were to many great layouts in her gallery.

Here is my version of one of Elisa K´s layout.
I used water coloer pencil on the titel and the flowers. I just love the effect.
Journaling:
The first ice cream of the year was according to the traditional from Hornbæk waffle bakery.Raspberry sorbet and caramel ice are the hit of the year.
I made this one useing a skecht from Di Hickman. You can se the skecht on her beautiful blog.
The photos are from our summer vacation back in 2005 were we went to a little Danish island call Møn.
We took a long walk along the beach and the beautiful cliff of chalk.
We were caught in the rain and I have never been so wet before in me life, when we finally got back to the car.
My daughter Signe was sure that she had got the most rain…….silly girl.
